CECO's Mission, Vision, and History

Mission Statement

In answering the Great Commission, Christians Equipping Christians for Outreach Fellowship will fulfill its mandate of ministry by equipping the Body of Christ to:

1. Establish Christian fellowship with a local and global reach

2. Revive a Kingdom-mindset in the Church

3. Strengthen its laity for excellence in every area of ministry.

CECO will accomplish this to the Glory and Honor of God.

The Vision

Leadership/Mentorship

Jeremiah 3:15 - "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and Understanding."

Innovation

Habakkuk 3:2 - "O LORD, I have heard thy speech and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy."

Fellowship

Hebrews 10:25 - "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

Evangelism/Discipleship

Matthew 28:18-20 - "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

CECO's History

Christians Equipping Christians for Outreach (CECO) Fellowship was birthed as part of a God-inspired vision given to Apostle Russell Larry Freeman. Through the collective efforts of his spiritual sons, manifestation of the original vision occurred in February 2008. These great men of God, under the leading of the Holy Ghost, performed the necessary tasks which were needed to open the door for Apostle Freeman and United Community Cathedral. In this, CECO serves as a help and an encouragement to other ministries within the Kingdom of God.

These sons, along with their spiritual father, became the founding fathers of CECO – Apostle Russell Larry Freeman, Bishop Lester Woods, Jr., Bishop Herman Dean Ware, Jr., Bishop Darrell Dwayne Luther, Sr., Overseer Arnulfo Peat, Jr., and Overseer Todd Robinson. In August 2009, CECO’s Fathers unanimously elected Apostle Freeman as the Presiding Prelate.
