Ecclesiastical Vestments

A dress code is implemented to exemplify the beauty and dignity of holiness. The code addresses the civil, ceremonial, and liturgical attire for bishops, clergy and the diaconate of the churches.

"Their natural impulse would be to insist on a certain measure of refinement, beauty, and dignity: and so they arrayed themselves in the best garments (ecclesiastical vestments) they possessed for the service of God. The officiant from primitive times thus wore his best clothes, both from motives of reverence, and also as an expression of rejoicing." - Herbert Norris
