Our Bishop of Protocol
Bishop A. Peat, Jr. has been in ministry since 1994 and currently serve as the senior pastor of New Hope Christian Center in Boonville, Mo. He specializes in leadership and church development. His teaching is known as being intellectually challenging and charismatic.  


Peat is an educator with Columbia Public Schools, where he developed the “Aspiring Scholars” curriculum. In 2009, he was awarded “The Most Outstanding Educator of the Year in a Specialized Area”, specifically for his work in closing the 

achievement gap of minority students. He challenges students to develop their character, leadership skills, and a belief in their gifts and talents.  


Peat has earned degrees from The University of Wisconsin-Madison, William Woods University, and has done graduate studies at Oral Roberts University in The School of Education.
